Help for afflicted people

Todays message: Help for afflicted people we see in Exodus 3:1-12 one of the greatest miracle in the Old Testament. The deliverance of Israel from Egypt. Accomplished by the blood of the passover lambs. It all pictures the coming Lamb of God. We see here also in Exodus God calls Moses for this task. The burning bush is not consumed. Speaks of our eternal self-sufficient God. Moses is afraid. God comforts Moses concerning His people.

Coping In The Last Days

Today our message comes from Luke 21:25-33. Praise God What a Time to Be Alive! A time of fulfilled prophecy, A time of expectation,  A time of open doors for the sharing of the Gospel. But there is another view of this time: Fear is an epidemic (v.26) Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. Fragile marriage relationships (17:26-27) And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

 Falling moral standards (17:28-29) Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Full heads but restless hearts (Dan 12:4) But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. How Does One Cope in Such A Time? I pray today’s message will help you to cope in these last days.

A Little While

“A Little While” our message today comes from Hebrews 10:32-37. Encouragement for suffering people. He had been persecuted (v.32) But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions. He had been Reproached and afflicted (v.33) Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used. They lost their earthly possessions (v.34) For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance. They were tempted to give up (vv.35-36). Good News: Someone’s Coming (v.37).

MULTIPLIED BREAD

In today’s message it comes from John 6:1-14. The miracle described by all four gospel writers. The great discourse on the bread of life. The lessons: “I am the bread of life” Three are people mentioned in connection with this miracle. Phillip…Andrew…the boy who gave his lunch. Lessons from their lives and words for us today.

Blessings of a Nation

We see in Hebrews 11:8-10 and Genesis 12:1-3 The Three Blessings. Genesis 1: Beginning with Adam, Genesis 6-7: Beginning with Noah, and Genesis 12: beginning with Abram.

 When the world rebels, God deals with one man. The Tower of Babel you see out of the confusion comes a call. God will give birth to the nation of Israel through Abram. There are many lessons here for individuals and for any nation longing for God’s blessings.

Todays message comes out of the book of Daniel 3. Daniel…Book of prophecy and people. An outline of the ages, views of the end times. The triumphal entry. The cross…the destruction of Jerusalem. The antichrist…the tribulation…end-time rulers. But it is also a book of people. Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. The trials and triumphs of men of faith. Three men who are tried by fire. The great image. Bow or Burn. They refused to bow…but yet they did not burn …this is a passage of scripture the Holy Spirit has given me many times to use but seems always with a different angle…and that is the same this week… My prayer is you will be blessed.
